Description
TMP125: Rugged USB Temperature Sensor for Extreme Environments
The TMP125 is a USB ambient temperature sensor designed to operate in extreme conditions, ranging from -55°C to 75°C. Featuring an accuracy of ±1.0°C (-10 to 75°C) and ±2.0°C (-55 to 75°C), it provides a resolution of 0.5°C. Powered by USB with an operating current of 12 mA, this sensor is equipped with a probe resistant to dust, moisture, and water splashes. Its ABS plastic housing can operate in temperatures ranging from 0 to 75°C. With its reliable performance in challenging environments, the TMP125 is ideal for applications requiring digital temperature monitoring.

Serial (COM) communication protocol (option)
This product is available with the option of communication via virtual COM port protocol. Products with this option can be freely converted between USB and VCP communication modes. For more information about this option, consult the documentation of the VCP option.

3-point user calibration mechanism (option)
This product can be equiped with a 3-point user calibration mechanism. Devices equiped with this feature are eligible for future recalibration, and can be recalibrated either by the user or by a calibration laboratory. Use this option to “synchronize” several of your measuring instruments with each other, or if you want the ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory we work with to calibrate your instrument and generate a NIST-traceable certificate. Are your sensors battery-powered?
No, they are not. They are powered via the USB plug; therefore, they must be plugged in to transmit data.
Can I put the TMP125 in water?
No, as the probe has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 65, meaning that the enclosure is completely protected against dust ingress and is also protected against water jets projected from a nozzle. It is not wholly waterproof (minimal IP rating of 67).
How do I request a quote?

What are the advantages of choosing a calibratable instrument (-CAL option)?
The devices with the 3-point calibration mechanism have a longer lifetime as it is possible to compensate for the natural drift of the measurements. The cost/lifetime ratio is thus considerably reduced and, just as importantly, this choice is environmental friendly.
These devices can be easily calibrated and certified by external resources (including our ISO17025 certified partner laboratory) and allow you to synchronize your various devices between them.

Can I use your measurement devices while maintaining my current software infrastructure?
Yes, you own your data. To integrate your data, you can either use our CLI (command line interface) for which we have plenty of code examples or for more advanced users, by choosing the VCP (Virtual COM Port) option when selecting your product.
How many devices can be simultaneously managed by your software tools?
Unlimited number of similar and different devices, provided your system supports the load.
