Description
DXC120: USB CO2Â sensor for monitoring indoor air quality.
The DXC120 is a compact and high-performance carbon dioxide (CO2) detector, ideal for monitoring CO2 levels in environments such as homes, workplaces, or any other spaces with moderate conditions. Like all instruments in the DXC series, it is based on advanced non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology, ensuring high precision and exceptional stability with its integrated automatic calibration mechanism that compensates for long-term drift. Manual calibration can also be easily performed with a single click via our software for added flexibility. The DXC120 offers a typical accuracy of ±(30 ppm + 3%) and repeatability of ±10 ppm, with temperature stability of 2.5 ppm/°C, ensuring consistent and reliable measurements even with temperature variations. With an operational lifespan of 15 years and individual factory calibration, this device is a durable and reliable investment for any application requiring rigorous CO2 monitoring.
Like all Dracal measurement instruments, the DXC120 is compatible with free software tools, making it an essential component of a DAQ solution. For those who wish to integrate the DXC120 into their system, there are two options available: command line tools and VCP mode. If you prefer a graphical interface, DracalView is the appropriate choice.
For CO2 level measurement in more challenging environments, refer to our DXC220 product.

Calibration
Every DXC120 unit is delivered with a supported instant calibration mechanism to fresh air that is easily accessible in one click via the latest versions of our free data logging software. In addition to this mechanism, these devices have a built-in self-calibration mechanism that can be activated and deactivated at will as easily via our Dracal DAQ software. The mechanism is based on the lowest CO2 measurement recorded over a period of 7 to 9 days to restore its minimum reference value to 450 ppm.

Do you have STEP/CAD files of your instruments?
You can find them on each instrument page under the Datasheets tab if available.
Are your sensors battery-powered?
No, they are not. They are powered via the USB plug; therefore, they must be plugged in to transmit data.
Why are my temperatures off?
The temperature channel indicates an internal temperature in the housing of the DXC120 and is used for the automatic calibration process. Here are a few tips to make sure the temperature readings will be accurate:Â
- Make sure your device stays powered and has fresh air for a whole week to allow its calibration.
- Use an extension cable instead of plugging your device directly into your computer, as the heat produced by the computer and the fan-pushing air can compromise the readings.
Why are my CO2 levels off?
The DXC120 has an integrated calibration system that requires a stable environment, both in temperature and humidity, to auto-calibrate at 400 ppm.
Make sure you leave the room unattended for at least 12 hours to have the instrument calibrate itself at the proper relative humidity and lowest CO2 level.
Also, make sure your device stays plugged in for 7 consecutive days. This should solve the problem and have your readings back to normal.
How do I request a quote?
We have created the easiest possible quote request system for you.
1. Create an account and log in.
2. Then do whatever you would do while shopping, then click on the shopping cart in the top right.
3. In your cart, click on “Switch to quote”, then at the bottom of the page “Proceed to quote”. You will not be asked for any payment information.
You will then receive a quote by email, which you can accept and pay within 30 days.
What are the advantages of choosing a calibratable instrument (-CAL option)?
The devices with the 3-point calibration mechanism have a longer lifetime as it is possible to compensate for the natural drift of the measurements. The cost/lifetime ratio is thus considerably reduced and, just as importantly, this choice is environmental friendly.
These devices can be easily calibrated and certified by external resources (including our ISO17025 certified partner laboratory) and allow you to synchronize your various devices between them.
What are the advantages of using your USB communicating devices over other technologies?
| 1. Connection security. | 6. Continuous power supply. |
| 2. Instant access to data. | 7. Low-power supply. |
| 3. Data confidentiality. | 8. Self-sufficiency. |
| 4. Data reliability. | 9. Technology persistence over time. |
| 5. Fast response time. | 10. Universal access. |
Can I use your measurement devices while maintaining my current software infrastructure?
Yes, you own your data. To integrate your data, you can either use our CLI (command line interface) for which we have plenty of code examples or for more advanced users, by choosing the VCP (Virtual COM Port) option when selecting your product.
How many devices can be simultaneously managed by your software tools?
Unlimited number of similar and different devices, provided your system supports the load.
