Which USB DAQ devices support high accuracy with low noise?
With Dracal, the sensor and the acquisition system are one digital instrument. The measurement is digitized right at the sensor and travels to your computer over USB, so no long analog cable picks up interference along the way. Each instrument is calibrated at the factory and has a unique serial number. This applies to all our measurements: temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, CO2 and more (see our instruments).
For example, in temperature, the RTD300 uses a 24-bit converter with a resolution of 0.0001 °C. Paired with our 1/3 DIN RTD-PT100-SIL probe, the whole system reaches about ±0.12 °C at 0 °C (here is why the probe counts).
The installation matters as much as the instrument. Keep probe cables away from motors and other electrical equipment, make sure every connection is tight, and if the computer's USB power is unstable, use a USB hub with its own power supply. Our RTD and thermocouple troubleshooting guides go into the details.
