What’s an easy way to collect and archive sensor data for regulatory audits?

An auditor wants three things: complete data, data nobody could alter, and proof that the instruments were accurate. Here is how to cover all three with Dracal.

1. Complete data. Connect your sensors to a SensGate and launch a logging task directly on it. It records locally (3 GB, months of data), keeps logging if your network or computer goes down and resumes on its own after a power failure. Timestamps are synchronized through NTP.

2. Unaltered data. The SensGate can export its logs as binary files that can't be edited, in addition to CSV for your analyses.

3. Accurate instruments. Order an ISO/IEC 17025 traceable certificate with your instruments (see the steps) and keep your calibration history. Our article How often should Dracal sensors be recalibrated? will help you set your intervals.

If your regulation requires electronic signatures or an audit trail, keep that layer in your validated data system: our integration tools feed it directly.
